A Prairie Home Companion + The Late Late Show + Fall Touring in the US & Europe + More!

We hope y’all are enjoying the last days of Summer; we’re currently at home in St. Louis resting up a bit after our jaunt through Europe last month. Though the heavy touring season is dying down, we’re not stopping our momentum! This Fall will bring widespread traveling through the US and another trip to Europe this November.

Read on for all of our latest news, including some very exciting television and radio announcements, both at home and abroad…!

A Prairie Home Companion Appearance on October 5!

We are extremely honored that we’ve been invited to perform on A Prairie Home Companion! This long-running radio show—hosted by storytelling extraordinaireGarrison Keillor and broadcast live from The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota—is syndicated to hundreds of radio stations worldwide and is available for streaming online in the days after initial broadcast.

Our episode will be taped on October 5 in front of a live audience at the Fitzgerald Theater (advance tickets are sold out, but a limited amount of rush tickets will be available the day of the show). Click here to see what local station in your town airs A Prairie Home Companion!

We’re also partaking in the Garrison Keillor hosted “Rhubarb Show”, which begins shortly after the live taping of A Prairie Home Companion. “The Rhubarb Show” also takes place at The Fitzgerald Theater and runs in a variety show format; other performers on October 5 include The Cactus Blossoms, Fred Newman and Bill Arnold. Back from Europe with Exciting News – A Musical Guest Spot on The Late Late Show!

We spent the past month traveling all over Europe, playing some of the finest Summer festivals and having raucous times at neighborhood clubs through the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium and The Netherlands. As always, it was an absolute blast! Thanks to everyone who made it out to our shows; click here to check out some photos from the tour on our Facebook page.

We’re very excited to announce that in addition to playing clubs and fests all over Europe, we rounded things out with a visit to the RTÉ studios in Ireland where we taped as the musical guests on The Late Late Show! The show is Ireland’s most popular late night show and RTÉ’s flagship television program—we were glad to be a part of it! Our episode airs nationwide in Ireland this Friday, September 13 on RTÉ One.

Hitting the Road in the USA – September & October!

We’re looking forward to treading the trails and touring far and wide across the USA this Fall! We’ve got a handful of September shows in the Midwest coming right up; we’ll visitCharleston, IL on Sept. 12,Indianapolis on Sept. 13,Cincinnati on Sept. 14,Cleveland on Sept. 15 andLexington on Sept. 17 before heading toNashville, TN for the annual Americana Music Association conference and festival, where we will perform at The Cannery on September 18.

September 20 will bring a special evening; we’re performing a benefit show for the Nelsonville Music Festival that will take place on a sternwheeler boat that takes off inMarietta, OH and meanders down the Ohio River! Click here for more information on the event. Later in September, you can catch us inBristol, TN/VA (for the always awesome Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion), then up North in Pennsylvania (Harrisburg and Pittsburgh) and Detroit, MI.

St. Louis friends and fans – we’re playing another free show onSeptember 27! We’ll be headlining Taste of St. Louis’ musical line up for that evening, and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone (not to mention all the delicious food!).

Our October tour will first take us to the West Coast for a couple of gigs (Los Angeles & San Diego) and then back to the Midwest. Starting October 6, we’ll be passing through the following towns: Cedar RapidsDes MoinesLincoln,ColumbiaLittle RockFayettevilleKansas City and Tulsa. We’re particularly excited to return to Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, home of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys! Last time we played Cain’s, we opened for Jack White, but we’re looking forward to going back as headliners! European Tour in November: UK, Ireland, France, Belgium & Holland

Come November, we’ll be jetting back to Europe for another month of touring across the Atlantic! This time around, we’ll make return visits to the UK (NottinghamLeeds,NewcastleManchesterBristol,London), Ireland (DublinBelfast), Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow), Belgium (Brussels) and The Netherlands (Amsterdam,RotterdamGroningen). The talented Luke Winslow-King will open up for us in Brussels and London, and The Tillers will kick things off in Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, and Belfast!

We’ll also be spending quite a bit of time playing shows all over France! You can catch us in mid-November in: RouenParisCognacBordeaux,AngersMantes-la-Ville and Euralille. See the list of tour dates at the bottom of this e-mail for further information…we’re looking forward to spending more time and really getting to know France. Hope to see you out there!

Just Announced: December Shows with Carolina Chocolate Drops

We’re pleased to announce that this December, we’ll be hopping on the bill with North Carolina-based string band Carolina Chocolate Drops! We will open for the Chocolate Drops for two evenings (December 12 and 13) in Knoxville, TN at Bijou Theatre and two nights (December 14 and 15) in Charlotte, NC at Neighborhood Theatre.

Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack + Central Time 7″ Available on pokeylafarge.net…

Have you visited our online store lately? We’ve got a couple of new items for sale that we’re excited to share with y’all! First up, the 7” vinyl Central Time single (via Third Man Records)…the B-side (“St. Louis Crawl”) is a previously unreleased track.

We’ve also got some limited copies of theBoardwalk Empire Soundtrack, Volume 2 on CD (ABKCO Records) for sale on pokeylafarge.net!

Our bandleader is featured on this excellent compilation, which follows the GRAMMY-winning Volume 1 Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack.
