Hi Friends!
Greetings from down under! Our first tour in Australia and New Zealand has been a huge success thus far, and there are still more shows to go. At the end of March we’ll be heading back to the states just in time to play the 25th Anniversary Savannah Music Festival. Also in this month’s newsletter, an interview with St. Louis’ KSDK News Channel 5 and a preview of our upcoming tour in the Netherlands in the merry month of May!

Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand

We have two performances left in Australia before making our way over to New Zealand. First up is the Corner Hotel in Melbourne on March 12, then up to Sydney for a show at The Basement on March 13. Can’t wait to see y’all there!

With Australia in the books, New Zealand will be our next destination! We’ll be at the WOMAD New Zealand Festival in New Plymouth, NZ on March 15th and 16th and then head to Auckland where we will play the Tuning Fork at Vector Arena on March 18th. March 20th we’ll be in Wellington to play Bodega. Our final two shows of the tour will be March 21st in Masterton at King Street and March 22nd at Black Barn Winery in Hawke’s Bay.

25th Anniversary Savannah Music Festival

The 25th Anniversary Savanna Music Festival in Savannah, Georgia on March 29 and 30 is coming up quickly! We are set to play two sets each day, sharing the stage with the very talented Savannah native Kristina Train. The festival is billed as the largest musical arts event in Georgia and one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world.

KSDK St. Louis News Feature

While setting up for the STL250 Burnin’ Love Festival in St. Louis, KSDK Channel 5 News reporter Heidi Glaus caught up with Pokey to talk a bit about the band’s sound, hometown love, and what’s in store for 2014. Click here to have a look!

May Tour in the Netherlands

The first weekend in May we’ve booked some exciting shows and festivals in our return to The Netherlands and Belgium. We’re headlining the Roots & Roses Festival in Belgium on May 1 and playing the Moulin Blues Festival in Groningenon, Netherlands on May 3. Also in the Netherlands is a stop at Paradiso in Amsterdam on May 2 and Doornroosje in Nijmegen on May 4. Our 2012 album Live In Holland was recorded from a performance at Paradiso from back in 2011, so it’s sure to be a memorable show. You can pick up the album on the Pokey LaFarge website here.

That’s all for this month’s installment! Expect an exciting newsletter next month including details about a second appearance on A Prairie Home Companion as Garrison Keillor and company come through St. Louis on June 16. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the most up-to-date news…
