“Central Time” on The Late Show with David Letterman

We had such a blast in The Big Apple last month when we had the honor of being David Letterman’s musical guests on The Late Show. Have a look at our performance of “Central Time”, the single from the new album, by clicking the image below!

We were proud to represent St. Louis (and the Midwest at large) on national television. Thanks to all who tuned in and caught our performance – we hope you enjoyed it!

Featured on the New Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack!

Last year, our bandleader recorded a track for HBO’s Scorsese-directed series, Boardwalk Empire. The tune, “Lovesick Blues”, was recorded with infamous jazz ensemble Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks. We are proud to announce that this track was selected to be a part of a compilation of songs from the show and will appear on the official Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack Vol. 2! It’s quite an honor to be placed on a compilation with such legends as Elvis Costello, Patti Smith and Leon Redbone…among others.

The soundtrack will be released on September 3, and follows the GRAMMY-winning Boardwalk Empire Soundtrack Vol. 1. The album is available for pre-order at this link!

Radio Highlights: Bob Edwards Show on SiriusXM, NPR’s World Cafe and KCRW’s ‘Top Tune’!

Since the release of the new album Pokey LaFarge, we’ve been stopping in at radio stations all across the US…this past month, we visited some seriously wonderful stations for in-studio sessions, including the SiriusXM studios, where we recorded for the Bob Edwards Show. Our episode aired several times yesterday on SiriusXM, and will syndicate to NPR affiliates over a weekend to come down the road (stay tuned for details!).

While in Philadelphia this July, we were honored to sit in with host David Dye for a session on NPR’s highly regarded radio program, World Café! That session will air some time in October…’like’ us on Facebookand follow us on Twitter to make sure you don’t miss out on the announcement, as the air date is not yet scheduled.

We’d also like to extend a big thanks to KCRW—Southern California’s leading NPR affiliate—who selected the track “City Summer Blues” from the new album as“Today’s Top Tune” on July 31!

Our Daytrotter Session is Now Available…

Earlier this summer, we had the pleasure of stopping into Daytrotter’s Rock Island studios to record a few songs for one of their ever-popular exclusive sessions. Our session is now available for download on Daytrotter.com at this link!

We hope you check out our Daytrotter recording of “Close the Door”, “Brick Thieves”, “Sadie Green” and “What the Rain Will Bring”.

Well folks, that’s all for this month’s installment…we’ve got a lot of fun stuff in the works, (including more tour date announcements in the USA and abroad), so head on over to Facebook and ‘like’ our page (or follow us on Twitter!) to stay in the know. And don’t forget that our new album is on sale in both CD and LP format in our online store!

Thank you all for reading and keeping up with us, as well as for continually supporting us by coming out to shows (with bells on!) and spreading the word about what we do. Our fans are truly special. Thank you for being a part of our lives!

See you down the road!
