Howdy friends,

We’re pleased to say that at long last, it’s album release day! The last week has been nothing short of incredible, thanks to all the wonderful folks who came out to our shows in St. Louis and Nashville to celebrate the new albumPokey LaFarge.

It’s important we stop for just a moment though, and let y’all know that we’ve got some moving picture goodness to share with you! Without further ado, we present to you…

The Official “Central Time” Music Video!

We’re excited to unveil the official Pokey LaFarge music video for “Central Time”, the single off the new album! The video is hot off the press and premiered yesterday on RollingStone.com. Special thanks to our dancing friends in St. Louis and the production crew over at Third Man Records for making it happen!

One Weekend– Two Album Release Shows!

We had an amazing time and humbling experience celebrating the release of our new album not once, but TWICE! We started off in St. Louis at the beautiful historic Casa Loma Ballroom. Despite the wild thunderstorms, we had a wonderful showing of friends from around home–thanks so much, y’all, we had over 1,000 people in attendance!

The next day we rolled on down to Nashville to Third Man Records’spectacular Blue Room performance space. Our set was recorded live to acetate, and we had such a great time experiencing that with everyone who made it out.

We are so happy we were able to share our celebration with so many amazing people; thanks to the crowds on both evenings for giving us two sold out shows and SO much energy.

Touring Here, There and Everywhere in the USA

Our first stop along the Atlantic Coast is tonight in New York City at the infamous Bowery Ballroom. Come on out and help us celebrate our album release date… Tickets are still available…grab them here! The next day we are heading down to our nation’s capital to play at The beautiful Birchmere–just over the Potomac River in Alexandria, VA. Tickets are available at this link! Luke Winslow-King will open both the NYC and DC shows.

Shortly after our run on the East coast, we’re heading to Cincinnati, Ohio for a performance at the Taft Theatre. Click here for tickets…we hope to see you there!

We’re playing a whole bunch of other shows in the continental US this summer, including a run through Colorado (PalisadeDenver and Lyons) and stops in Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas and more! Be sure to check the full list of shows at the bottom of this newsletter, as there are many we haven’t mentioned here!

Canada in July & Europe in August!

Later this summer, we’re heading to Canada and Europe for some excellent festivals and club shows. We’ll be passing through MontrealOttawa,Toronto and Guelph (for Hillside Music Festival) in late July.

For a good part of August, we’ll be crossing the Atlantic for festival appearances across Europe. We’ll perform at Lowlands (Netherlands),Pukkelpop (Belgium), Musikfestwochen (Switzerland), Tonder Festival (Denmark), andEnd of the Road (UK), among others.

We’re looking forward to visiting y’all (we always have so much fun across the pond!), and we hope you can make it out to one of these events.

Spring & Summer Touring…and lots of it!

It was an honor to play at New Orleans JazzFest in early May, and we had such a good time at our first appearance there. Our bandleader Mr. LaFarge sat down for a brief talk on St. Louis, American music and more while at JazzFest…have a look here!

We recently returned from quite a journey through the American West coast, which included tons of shows throughout California, the Pacific Northwest and even a quick jaunt up to visit our Canadian friends in Vancouver, BC! Thank you to all who came out dancing, stomping and singing–it made for such a great tour.

It’s always a treat traveling through our neck of the woods; we had some wonderful gigs in Minneapolis and Chicago in late May, in addition to headlining Pedaler’s Jamboree in Boonville, MO over Memorial Day weekend. Pedaler’s Jamboree was a pretty special night; we tracked down some young musicians who joined us on stage for a collaborative performance of “La La Blues”…check out the photo below…what fun!

Thank you all again for such a humbling weekend celebrating our album release…we’re keeping the momentum rolling for release day, so we hope to have the pleasure of more wonderful audiences in the coming days! Stay tuned for more updates on our spring and summer tour, and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news, as there’s a bunch more excitement coming this summer…

See you down the road!

With a lot of my family escaping the midwest, telling me to do the same, I take extreme pride in every verse of your songs, and from being a St. Louisan! I am so glad to see you all succeeding, and have a feeling that soon, the WHOLE city will take pride in having Pokey LaFarge! It’s beyond amazing how you guys have pioneered your style and I would just like to say Thank You for all of your music! Please keep it up, and I hope to see you guys soon.
