Howdy friends,

We’ve got some exciting things coming down the road this Fall…we love touring this time of year, and we’re looking forward to shows in the Midwest, USA this October and in Europe throughout the month of November. We’ve got a ton of shows coming up, so read on to see if we’re coming to a town near you…

A Prairie Home Companion on October 5!

In just two days, we’ll be heading back to the Midwest for our first appearance on A Prairie Home Companion! This public radio show reaches over 4 million people each week and is broadcast live from The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. We’re very excited to be a part of it! Advance tickets to attend the live broadcast are sold out, but there will be a small quantity of rush tickets available the day of the show.

To see where you can tune in locally, click here for a list of all the public radio outlets that broadcast A Prairie Home Companion in the USA. You can also hear the broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio orstream it live on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 5:00pm (Central Time) on www.prairiehome.org (archived episodes are also available for listening the day following the initial broadcast!).

We’ll also be sticking around the Fitzgerald Theater for The Rhubarb Show, which is a variety show that directly follows the broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion. Tickets are still available for The Rhubarb Show on Oct. 5 at this link!

October Tour in the USA

We had a great time in California this week, and would like to thank everyone who came out to our shows in Los Angeles and San Diego.

After our stop in St. Paul, we’ll be traveling some more through the Midwest. Look out for us in the following cities this month: Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Lincoln, Columbia, Little Rock, Fayetteville, Kansas City and Tulsa!

Aside from the Cain’s Ballroom show in Tulsa, we’re particularly looking forward to playing in Columbia, MO at The Blue Note on October 11—it’s been too long since we played a proper gig in Columbia (and on a Friday night, too!). Plus, it’s only a stone’s throw from St. Louis, so we hope to see some of our hometown friends out there as well.

Tons of Shows in Europe this November!

Touring through Europe last month was a blast and we couldn’t resist a return visit before the end of the year! Starting on November 2, we’ll be stopping at towns all along the way through the UK, Ireland, Belgium, France, Netherlands, and—for the first time—Spain!

Our friends in the UK and Ireland can catch us in Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and London. In Ireland we will stop in Belfast andDublin, and shortly after we’ll play in Brussels, Belgium.

Mid-November will take the tour through France, where we’ll play in Rouen, Paris, Cognac,Bordeaux, Angers, Mantes-la-Ville and Euralille. On our debut tour run in Spain, we’ll have the pleasure of visiting Barcelona,Madrid and Santander. Not to leave our awesome fans in The Netherlands out, we’ll round out the tour with a few dates inAmsterdamRotterdam and Groningen!

Drove to Lincoln, Nebraska last Thursday to see Pokey & Co.
WOW! unforgettable! and to boot, he was nice enough to personally say hello and shake
our hands, after standing on stage for about 3 hours ! what a kind, nice soul. Each
kid in this group is so talented. I can’t express how much I enjoyed this original
music. May God bless you and keep you safe in your travels. LOOK FORWARD to your
newsletters. THANKS AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL MEMORY!

Your concert in Brussels was INCREDIBLE! What a talented bunch of musicians you all are, and what amazing audience contact, and energy. You have such a unique style and such versatility. I loved the variety of instruments, particularly the harmonica player. And your cool clothes, great sense of humor, and the fun atmosphere you created made this a great evening. It was a bit tough to remain standing for over two hours, and I wish there had been seating at the Ancienne Belgique, but I survived.

Pokey, at times you reminded me of Robert Preston in the musical “The Music Man”, doing the song Trouble in River City, the way you rattled off the lyrics in one of your songs. You are quite simply an amazing performer. I hope you’ll come back to Brussels soon!
